Will exposure to direct sunlight cause the photocell to deteriorate?

UV-stabilized polycarbonate material intended for constant outdoor exposure is used in the sensor. Over the course of the fixture's 50,000-hour lifespan, precision is maintained.

Is it possible to reduce the light output in the middle of the night?

Only on/off switching is possible with standard photocells. When placing an order, choose a model that is compatible with 0–10V dimming for dimming features (e.g., lowering output to 30% at midnight).

How does the sensor respond to short-lived light sources, such as headlights?

Before switching, the built-in time-delay circuitry needs to see continuous fluctuations in light levels for three to fifteen seconds. This properly responds to dawn/dusk changes while filtering out transient light sources.

What occurs if the LED dies before the photocell?
